The St. Regis Singapore

Hotel29 Tanglin Road, Singapore 247911

  • 710Ballroom sqm
  • 380Ballroom banquet
  • 10Event rooms
  • 299Rooms

Inspected by CVBS

A 299 room St. Regis on Tanglin Road, at the top of Orchard Road. Its largest room is the John Jacob Ballroom, 710 square metres, pillarless, with an 8.3 metre ceiling and two skylights, for 450 theatre or 380 at banquet. Caroline’s Mansion, a double height room for 150 at dinner, and five meeting rooms on level one sit alongside it.

It reaches shortlists for the occasion rather than the size. It suits a gala, an awards night or a formal conference dinner with the delegates sleeping upstairs, and a program that wants two good rooms running at once.

What it suits

Good for

  • Gala dinners and awards nights of up to about 380 seated
  • Conferences of up to 450 theatre style with the rooms upstairs
  • Two events at once, with the ballroom and Caroline’s Mansion running side by side
  • A formal dinner of up to 150 in a double height room
  • Breakouts of up to 50 in five level one meeting rooms

Look elsewhere for

  • A plenary above 450 theatre or a dinner above 380, which needs a larger ballroom
  • Exhibitions or trade floors
  • Many concurrent breakouts above 50, since the meeting rooms top out there
  • A program that needs delegates walking to Marina Bay, which is a car ride away

The event floor

A pillarless ballroom with two skylights and two LED walls, a double height second room, and five meeting rooms on level one with their own pre-function areas. The ballroom foyer has a built in bar for pre-dinner drinks.

Accommodation

299 rooms and suites, all redesigned in the refit the hotel announced in January 2026.

Where these figures come from, and why a dash is not a zero

A dash means Marriott publishes no figure for that setup. It does not mean the room cannot be set that way, only that we will not print a number the venue has not published.

Every figure is read from Marriott’s events page and capacity chart for the hotel, checked 22 September 2026. Never estimated, never taken from a directory.

The hotel’s own announcements describe the John Jacob Ballroom and Caroline’s Mansion in slightly different terms from the capacity chart, so the table uses the chart and we confirm figures with the hotel before they reach a shortlist.

Bigger rooms in Singapore

The John Jacob Ballroom seats 380 for dinner, so a larger dinner or plenary moves to one of these. They are the bigger hotel ballrooms in Singapore we have records for. Each figure below is read from that venue’s own published material. This is not a survey of the whole Singapore market, only the rooms we checked to make sure nothing on this page overstates the building.

Recent changes

The ballroom has been refitted. The John Jacob Ballroom was redesigned by FBEYE International, reported in June 2025, with two skylights, two LED walls of 9.6 by 5.29 metres, ten intelligent lighting systems and a soundproof air wall that splits it into two rooms. The foyer gained a built in bar.

The whole hotel has been renewed. In January 2026 the hotel announced the completion of a refit covering all 299 rooms and suites, its restaurants and bar, and the five level one meeting rooms.

Questions organisers ask

What size conference can it hold?

Up to 450 theatre style or 380 at banquet in the John Jacob Ballroom, a pillarless 710 square metre room with an 8.3 metre ceiling, by Marriott’s capacity chart. It divides into two halves of 230 theatre or 150 banquet each.

What else is there besides the ballroom?

Caroline’s Mansion, a 262 square metre room with an 8 metre ceiling that takes 175 theatre or 150 banquet and divides in three, plus five meeting rooms of 65 to 78 square metres on level one that take 50 theatre each. Two of them, Embassy and Consulate, combine for 100 theatre or 80 banquet.

How many guest rooms does it have?

299 rooms and suites, all redesigned in the refit the hotel announced in January 2026. That houses most of a conference that fills the ballroom without splitting the group across hotels.

Where is it?

At 29 Tanglin Road, at the top of Orchard Road, near the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

Who does it suit?

A gala dinner, an awards night or a conference of up to about 380 seated that wants a formal, high luxury hotel with the rooms upstairs. Caroline’s Mansion suits a second event running alongside, or a dinner of up to 150 on its own.

Capacities read from the venue’s own published material on 22 September 2026. Comparison figures read from each named venue’s own published material on the same date.

We do not see every room on every visit. Where we were not in a room, its figures come from the venue's own chart rather than from us. We do not rate or score venues and we do not publish rates.

Our service is free to you. We are independent of every venue we put forward, no venue is favoured, and your interests come first.
